What is Panchang ?

Panchang is a combination of two Sanskrit words 'Panch' meaning Five and 'Anga' meaning Parts. Thus Panchang is a something which encloses five things and these five things are: Tithi (Lunar Day), Vaar (Day of Week) , Nakshatra (Constellation), Yog and Karan.
Panchang holds very much importance in Muhurtas and is the fundamental of Vedic Astrology. The combination of above mentined five things determines the strength of given day.
