More about Hessonite (Gomed) 3.29 Carat (3.6 Ratti) Oval – LHS508

Description
Hessonite is a variety of grossular garnet, with a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale. Its warm orange to cinnamon colour comes from iron and manganese. Fine, swirled 'treacle' inclusions are typical of hessonite and are not a flaw.
Common look-alikes are glass and composite stones, and orange zircon or spessartite garnet are sometimes sold as hessonite. This stone's origin, natural status and any treatment have not been confirmed by a lab, so please ask for a lab report if you need certainty.
Who is this for?
Anyone advised by an astrologer to strengthen Rahu. Hessonite does not depend on your lagna; it depends on the house Rahu occupies in your chart. It is traditionally recommended for Rahu in the 3rd, 6th, 10th or 11th house, used with caution for the 2nd, and conditional for the 5th, 7th and 9th. It is usually avoided for Rahu in the 1st, 4th, 8th or 12th. It is popular with people in technology, media, foreign-linked work, competition and litigation. Get your kundli checked before wearing it.
